Aims of the Sunshine Coast BROMELIADS Society INC.
The Sunshine Coast Bromeliad Society, in south eastern Queensland Australia, encourages and educates hobbyists in the cultivation
and propagation of Bromeliads. We hold monthly general meetings, field days and bus trips, where Members and Visitors can view other growers' collections.
Objectives
The objectives of the association are:
- To promote good fellowship among all people interested in the culture of Bromeliads and in horticulture generally.
- To further the knowledge and advancement of all that pertains to Bromeliads, including their natural history, conservation, cultivation and hybridisation.
- To disseminate information about Bromeliads and carry out educational and research activities into all aspects of Bromeliaceae.
NOTE – PLANT SALES & PRICING OF PLANTS
It is not always easy to decide what to charge for plants. Understanding the market is helpful but it boils down to an individual decision. There has been a
tendency lately, because of the demand for Bromeliads, to raise prices and in some instances the temptation is there to exploit the situation.
Membership in the Sunshine Coast Bromeliad Society places a responsibility upon us to be fair and reasonable in not taking advantage of our fellow members or the public.
