This segment of the monthly meeting programme enables some of the beautiful plants that members are growing to be displayed and appreciated by other members. It is a non serious competition where winners are chosen by members votes.

The segment creates a great deal of interest with well grown and often, unusual plants being shown. By voting on the plants, enables members to show their appreciation for the efforts of the grower, firstly in growing the plant, and secondly, in bringing the plant into the meeting for all to see.

Some of our members have large collections, but those of us who don't should not feel our plants are inferior. We too, can grow lovely plants. After all, with fewer plants to attend to, we can give them more individual attention that the larger grower.

Members are encouraged to support this segment which is organised by Nigel, who puts in a big effort to conduct the competition. If everyone brought in just one plant, we would have a superb monthly display - we wouldn't all win a prize, but we should look at is as a display of our best plants and if we are lucky enough to take out an award - then that's a bonus.

There are 3 categories:

1. Neoregelias

2. Terrestrials and Tillandsias

3. Other Genera.

Please register your entries with Nigel before 1.30pm.
